Motukea Gas Limited was first set up and built in 2010 to primarily support the Curtain Bros owned Papua New Guinea Dockyard, (PNGDY) based in Port Moresby.

Initially established to service the in house needs of the Curtain Bros Group of companies (including PNG Dockyard, CB Builders and others) Motukea Gas has accumulated a wealth of expertise in the manufacture and distribution of a wide range of Industrial Gases. The company now services many customers throughout Papua New Guinea. 

After four years of supporting and maintaining the supply of PNGDock Yard, Motukea Gas then commenced marketing into the local industries and selling the gas to local construction and manufacturing businesses.

The gas plant, which is set up on Motukea Island, was only operating to a capacity of about 50%, so there was a further ability to supply local businesses and hence the company began to grow.

Motukea Gas has now increased the sales by 30% in the last two years and still has the capacity to increase the sales and supply of industrial gases to the local industries.

We pride ourselves in manufacturing, marketing and distributing Oxygen, Nitrogen gas and Liquid, Argon, Acetylene, Carbon Dioxide Gas and liquid Withdrawl, Compressed Air and Helium. Motukea Gas has an extensive range of products and services including Specialty and Mixed Gases, Welding and Medical Gases right here in Papua New Guinea
